        • Holga is a camera that s perfect for those who want to create unique and interesting images. It s ideal for people who like light leaks, slight soft focus, and retro vignetting. Holga is a toy camera that s simple and inexpensive to use. The features that make Holga unique would be considered defects in other cameras, but they create distinctive images that you can t get with any other camera. That s why Holga has gained such a huge following.

The Holga 135BC 35mm Film Camera has an internal mask that cuts the corners to create a soft vignette effect. This effect looks similar to the natural vignette that you get with the 120 Holgas, which is why it s called BC or Black Corners. The focal length of Holga is approximately 47mm. To focus, you simply rotate the barrel of the lens to the icon that best corresponds to the shooting situation. The focal length ranges from 3 feet to infinity. Since Holga is a completely manual camera, film advance is all up to the photographer. After the first shot, you can advance the film one full frame to the next image or shoot limitless times on the same frame to create a multiple exposure. By advancing only partially, you can create panoramic or overlapping images.

The shutter speed of Holga is approximately 1 100 of a second. There s also an option to put the camera in B or bulb setting. This setting allows the shutter to stay open for as long as necessary for long exposures. This makes it possible to do night photography, getting images without a flash in low light situations, or even painting with light. When using the Holga in bulb setting, it s recommended to use a tripod and cable release. The Holga 135BC shoots 35mm film, and the hotshoe adapter accepts standard flash units.
